I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
